Needle like leaves from the remote mountains of South Africa, "Rooibos", (pronounced roy-boss) is also known as Red Bush tea. A great drink for the health conscious as it has many health benefits. Whilst many people consider rooibos tea to be a traditional type of tea, it is not actually made from tea leaves. Instead, it is an infusion of the dried rooibos herb and is often described as slightly sweet, fruity and smooth. Rooibos is grown in the Cedarberg Mountains in South Africa. Its vibrant amber colour is caused by a natural enzyme release that occurs during the oxidation process, which is why it is commonly called Red Tea.
